wah wah wah...

Two or three times a year
'I need to close my blog'
bug bites.

It's here again, must be
the doldrums of March
OR that the to do list is bigger this year

I'm hanging on by a thread ...
so many things to do ...wah wah wah.
I was going to share a list
... didn't want to bore you.

what's a too busy, mid life, gramma,
designer/painter with a flurry of ideas to do?

Oh, I know ... many of you have,
and have made your comebacks and all
... but how was it while you were gone?
 Did you have withdrawal?
How did you ease back in to it?

help me out here
I've been bitten again ...

... I'm all fenced

and hanging on by a thread
AND if you want to swap lists,
I'll gladly send mine on ahead!

love y'all

I think I'm having a panic attack right this minute! All I can do is make a list and do things by priority. You know, there are some things that don't need doing at all...it's only our personal requirement that they get done.
Have a night off and a cocktail, it will help.

It's hard, isn't it. I slowed down to almost nothing while recovering from surgery and I am easing back into it more now. It is hard, though to get back to the every day postings. I say do what you think is best for you. We lead such busy lives and sometimes it can just get to be overwhelming. If you take a break, people will be here when you get back, because we love what you post.

I've been bitten too. Sometimes I think the blog slows me down from other things I want to do! After 3 and a half years, I contemplate ending it, but then an idea will hit me for a post, and I'm hanging by a thread! haha.
Hang in there!

Joy, don't give up! What would we do without your humor? And where would we go to inspire our souls?

I too sometimes feel as if I am hanging in torture by my toenails wanting to give up and give in to the madness :)
Just like you a great idea or something simple comes along and I feel the need to share, crazy I know but there is this pull of gravity that keeps us blogging and sharing for some sort of need to escape for a bit.

I hope you escape that fenced in feeling and at best blog at least once a month until the chores are completed or caught up to some degree :))
You would be missed.

Oh, oh and is it not those tattered run down farm houses we drool and crush over that we all want to live in?

Hang in there baby...keep on trucking :)

If that's what's biting, then take a break. It's exactly what you need. Been there; done that.

Refreshments needed. Naps required. Solitude necessary. Passion fed. It takes time, and you won't regret the break. Instead, you'll be grateful you did.

So sorry you are overwhelmed, but you can't go.

See I just made your list easier because I helped you make up your mind on that one. :)

If you have things to share and something to say then post, let that be your guide and work on the things you NEED to work on first.

Sadly, I ran out of things to say, so I'm done for awhile...maybe forever. I miss it from time to time, but not as much as I thought I would. I do miss the people though, but you can still stay in touch, it will just be a little different.

I think that when we are overwhelmed we need to step back and make a list of priorities, and once you have done that you can eliminate the things that are holding you back. In the end only you can decide what is right for you. Wishing you all the best! :)

I think we've all been there......too much to do to blog about it......too stuck creatively to come up with something new.....

I took about a month off in February. Just couldn't bring myself round to writing a post. Sure my numbers are down. But my blogging friends are still there.

Take all the time you need. We'll still be there when you get back from your break.

Take the time away that you need and then come back refreshed and renewed. I think it is different for each person...and blogging, like everything in life, ebbs and wanes and then resurges. Blessings to you as blogging finds its perfect level in your life- xo Diana

I'm still a novice to blogging, I've only just found you, and now you're thinking of quitting ! What a shame as it seems you will be missed by so many of your followers. I'm sure to be committed to make a post everyday must be very time consuming. Maybe as one of your followers mentioned you could cut the post down to if and when you have time. Well I just wanted to to let you know I loved reading your blog and looking at the brilliant photos you share. I'll join as a follower, hoping you will carry on.
Best wishes from a new follower. http://barbaralilian-infrance.blogspot.com

Just a suggestion....like I have any room to talk...but maybe don't think in terms of all or nothing. That's the only way I can handle life. To maintain balance some things get put on the back burner but not totally turned off. I already know I have bursts of energy and gusto then other times NOTHING seems so great. I think it's just life. If you're overwhelmed don't put yourself on a guilt trip just pace yourself.

Quite selfishly I want to beg you to stay - your blog is so inspiring and awesome and adored by so many....but then real life - the touchy feeling real McCoy- is very important too.....and maybe stepping away will clear your head and get your designer MoJo back in shape and you will (hopefully) come back with a big time spring in your step and all sorts of new ideas in your brain.

Or maybe not. That can happen too.

But the thing is to remember Will Shakespeare's "To Thine Own Self Be True."

Follow your heart, and know you will be missed if you leave, but blogland is so good and shall welcome you back with open arms should you decide to leave and then return.

Sometimes our daily life seems overwhelming and sometimes we have no words to share although a million things can be said.

Perhaps you can pen a word or two whenever time permits or just share a picture or two without any words.the choice is yours. ..that's the beauty of a blog..just wishing you a great day filled with anything and everything that will bring a smile onto your beautiful face.

You can hire me as your assistant! I'll do the list while you blog! :) hey, it's so crazy, it just might work! Don't worry if you need to take a break. We'll all be here, awaiting your return! It just won't be the same around here without you though, so I hope that if you do take a break, it won't be for long! xoxo, Leena

Sometimes all we can do is take one day, one moment, one second at a time and tie a knot and hang on.

I think we have get there at some time or another. Do what you can do and forget the rest.

I'm learning. Life is too short. They say not to sweat the small stuff and someone else said, it's all small stuff. Yes, life is made up of the small stuff and that's what gets us down.

If God takes care of the sparrow, He will take care of you.

God loves you. That's a fact!

It is the weather...don't you know!
Snow again...I know....

you need to see a room that really needs help (hint!) redesign... re-purpose...something that really makes you walk in and think what was she thinking! Cure...it stimulants your creative juices and you leave energized and you have given back to someone who feels helpless when she looks at that room...maybe she would be a tax deduction for your efforts! No she is not on drugs...just fantasing about someone coming to the rescue...who could that be??????????????

as one who has come and gone from my blog so many times that it makes me dizzy to think about it...I would suggest, in agreement with others, that you just let the blog simmer on that back burner and have yourself some down time!!! step back and be revitalized...if you decide it's time to let the blog go...so be it, if you decide at any given moment you have something to share...share it. I've been there and support you in whatever you decide to do...Theanne of Theanne and Baron

Take a rest. We all will be here when you get back. Authors needs to take breaks from their writings too when it gets overwhelming or they are in a fog. But they always come back to it with good things to write. :-)
