THRIFT'N ON A THURSDAY #16 ... THE FIND OF THE CENTURY

I have a cute little sister who
claimes she finds nothing at garage sales ...
when I asked her how frequently she stops ... she shrugs her shoulders.  heehee
My take on that
 IS
"stop at every one you see"
scour the goods
( in say, a minute or less)
and jump back in your car"

you can actually get this down to a science
and not lose much time doing so.

how does one know by ogling from the
car window whether there is anything worthwhile?
You've all seen it ...
a car pulls up at YOUR garage sale ...
they slow down to a snail's pace ...
gawk from the car and then pull away ... yeah
been there.

Lesson learned here is
"ya just never know"

so today please enjoy a few of the latest finds
here at the farmhouse ... I'm hunting
and gathering like a madwoman
for
SHOP THE SHED

NOW show me your
 find of the century ...
get out of the car and check it out!

I am always on the look out for that Julia cookbook. I had both and sold them to a friend and now I want them back LOL

I stop at every yard sale like you said takes a minute to see if anything there you want.

Thanks for letting me show off my yard sale cups, I need 2 more if you find them LOL

I have a couple of pieces of hotel silverware - a one cup teapot that is so very dark with peeks of silver (I didn't polish it because it looks so good in its various shades of grey) and some flatware. Thanks for hosting.

I just get plain giddy at the prospects of the upcoming Saturday yard sales. I did great last Saturday. Bobby G. is famous for wanting to do drive bys. :)

I have a vintage Julia Child cookbook too and I treasure it. This is the first time I'm seeing a vintage Larousse Gastronomique. What a find!
