who inquired about the event last weekend.

I'll tell you what ... blogger girls rock.
they email, they text, they pray for you,
and they show up!

in a word, they are simply loyal!

and yes, things did go a'flyin' out of the booth ...
it's kinda sad to see some of the favorites  disappear so quickly.
 (after all that set up)

enough of that
I feel I've bored you for the last few weeks with
all this hoop-la.
onto the thoughts of the summer kitchen

Ya know, sometimes when you're away from your
own surroundings and
under the design spell of someone fabulous
you come home and are
perhaps you hadn't even thought of a makeover
until bam, the light goes on!

I spent Friday night at Susan's home ...

it's an hour commute to where this show was held
so this only made sense.
(actually I invited myself, heehee)

anywho ... she has a butler's pantry to beat the band ...
complete with ovens, apron sink and all the finest extras!
 (notice the french coffee machine)
(that's my fourth cup sitting there)

this room sent my brain into orbit ...

Saturday morning with my fourth cup
of coffee, I pondered the thought of turning
my sunporch into a
summer kitchen.

Of course, I consulted with Susan and
she gave the nod!

Here's a little tour of our porch evolution from

to my home office
two years ago ...

drumroll ...

the summer kitchen!

mudroom, turned office, turned
 summer kitchen /butler pantry!

for summer
steaks on the grill
perennials ...
and the beauty of the seasons
that God created
for our pleasure!

how's your week shaping up?

Well, this is a fabulous post! So so wish my daughter & I could find a way to have a little shop up here in the Texas hill country. We may need your advice!! And, now, what inspiration for the summer kitchen, etc. She has a small square sun porch which is totally enclosed with wrap-around windows. It is completely unused now.
Hummmmmmmmmm. You've given me some great ideas. Yes, bloggers rule!!!

I love this idea of a Summer porch kitchen and what a lovely space you've created.

I also love the idea of hanging towels from the antlers. I've been tryingto figure something to hang towels from in one of my bathrooms and this just might be it...if you don't mind that is:-)

Take care,

Brilliant. And I don't say that often. Now my head is swimming with such a possibility, even if it is something as simple as putting the coffee set up in my porch. It would draw the family out for spring. Brilliant I tell 'ya.

I spy my favorite part... the corrugated tin awning. Love it.

You never cease to amaze me, my friend. Your energy alone is worthy of mention. That's a LOT of work shuffling everything around. I need some of the same vitamins you take! LOL! It looks fab-u-lous!

This whole post makes me re-think the coffee station that I have set up in the kitchen. Hmmmm....maybe I could turn our formal dining room into a butler's pantry?? It's attached to the kitchen.....I must think about this...
